Free Resource: “Make A Splash”

Hi everyone,

I know many of you are starting to plan your  summer reading programs for children, and we want to help you get a head start. This years theme for many of the libraries is “Make A Splash — Read “. So Billy Gorilly decided to write a song called, what else?, you guessed it “Make A Splash”

Billy Gorilly loves the library and all it has to offer. He wants to help encourage children to visit their library and to learn and enjoy reading.

As a way of giving back to the community and help promote going to the library, Billy created a special 60 second promotional version of his song “Make A Splash”. You can link to, download, or just listen to the song. You can also use the song in your promotional videos or audio ads. It’s free for you to use. We just ask that you don’t sell it. It’s intended for everyone to use for free.

Grammy Nomination Best Children’s Music Album

We’re very proud to announce that the most recent Billy Gorilly CD, “Rockin’ the SchoolHouse vol.1” is on the ballot for this years’ Grammy Awards in the category of Best Children’s Music Album. The first round of voting is taking place now, the final nominees will be named in December, and the winner will be announced at the 52nd annual Grammy Awards celebration, January 31, 2010. In very simple terms a podcast is an audio file that is transferred over the internet for your listening pleasure.

Billy’s podcasts are FREE, less than 15 minutes long, and feature 3-4 songs and or stories. You may even hear some of Billy Gorilly’s pals from the Candy Appletree Woods on the podcast.

Music Can Change Lives – Watch These Kids Sing

When I saw this video I was not only touched by the sound of the voices, I was touched also by the expressions on the faces. I wish there was more music in schools. The kids are very lucky to have a teacher like this.

I believe the instructor is Gregg Breinberg.

Songs To Teach Kids preK-1st

Billy Gorilly’s podcast for Kids

I just wanted to send out a little reminder about Billy’s Podcast 17. If you have not listened yet come on over and check it out. This podcast will teach children the letters sounds of (A-I)  as they sing along with Billy and his pals from the Candy Appletree Woods. Kids will also learn the parts of a house as they make a list. The kidlets will be sure to have a smile as they learn to count by fives. You can also get free printable worksheets to go along with each segment. You can listen right on you computer or download to your iPod. If you subscribe on iTunes you will get updates automatically. It doesn’t cost a thing so you have nothing to lose.

We are currently working on Podcast 18. We will have it ready for you to enjoy around Sept. 5. Maybe a little sooner.

Yuk! Wash Those Dirty Hands

Proper hand washing can help control the spread of germs and keep you healthy.

I was on Twitter and noticed a mom blogger momof2boyswifeof1 had a review and contest going to win some free SoftSoap that is perfect for kids. This made me think about a podcast Billy Gorilly did awhile back teaching kids about washing hands, so I thought it would be a perfect time to share the washing hands part of the podcast. Kids can listen and learn.
